A TARDIS (acronym for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) is an organicly grown living space-ship, an entity with the ability to enter the Time Vortex and manipulate the structure of time, space and dimensions. These beings are famous for having the ability to mimic the surroundings of the planet, area and time around it, effectively camoflauging it. This power, generated by a Chameleon Circuit, can make it anything from a pillar in ancient Greece, to a Dixtia tree in Raxacoricofallapatorius, to a police phone box in 1960's England. The destuction or malfunctioning of this circuit can cause the TARDIS to permanently retain its current shape, but this is easily repaired by hot-wiring the fragment links and superceding the binary kinetic power nodes. The TARDISes are also well known for their being bigger on the inside. This is caused by the fact that they can bend relative dimensions, effectively squashing a large space into a compact space.
